Dontcha Know What Fish Do in There?

Thought for the day:  Never waste your time arguing with fools. They'll bring you to their level, and then beat you with experience.

Don't worry. No arguing here.

Nope, today we're all about peace and love, and all that kinda good jazz. Like laughter.

Yep, time to look at some fun signs, this time, signs about some of our animal friends.

I've gotta say, that last one is my favorite. Okay, time for me to go splatter some attention on my editing. I hope y'all have a super day.

Until next time, take care of yourselves. And each other.

  3. Now that gave me a smile this morning...I especially love the fish crap sign.
Mind you it was WC FIelds that originally said
"I never drink water, fish f**k in it x

  4. Great signs. I've experienced the heron AND the splatter zone. Nuff said.

  5. Janie- Glad ya liked 'em. Yeah, we all have to watch out for those splatter zones, both physical and emotional.

Tracy- I loved that picture of the cats, too. And yes, indeed, we had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I hope you and your sweetie did, too.

John- Glad to make you smile. WC had a lot of priceless quotes, and I'm familiar with that one. I've always been a big water drinker, and my hubby used to hit me with that particular quote quite frequently.

Delores- Oh, dear. Maybe you'd better take to wearing a raincoat?

  6. The one that almost made me spit my coffee was the wheelchair headed for the alligator!

  7. These have totally made my day. I loved the wheelchair one and the hippo sign as well. Wow. Thank you for brightening my morning! *wipes coffee from computer screen*

  8. Haha these are brilliant. I loved the please be safe one, don't wana make the poor animals sick!

  9. Love the quote. It is absolutely perfect for someone I ran into yesterday and although I walked away from the foolishness, she kept on. Tiresome fools.

I like the unfenced area sign. Good luck with those animals!

  10. I liked these -- thanks for the laugh!

And I think the "Splatter Zone" should be posted on the doors of just about every political office...

  11. The you might be eaten sign reminded me of a favorite at Juniper Springs State Park in central Florida. At the canoe launch: Beware of rapids, whirlpools and alligators. Not being discouraged, we launched anyway. Most of us made it to the take out.

  12. Ack!! The splatter zone!!

Now wouldn't that make for some lovely What I Did On My Summer Vacation reports?!

  13. More signs -- yay! Love them. Especially the one with the camel, of course. ;)

  14. Signs of the times; so much more poignant than 'Would you mind frightfully not putting your fingers in the lion's mouth'.

  15. Liked them all, but loved the last one best. It reminds me of being bathed many a time by a wet dogs tail. .

  16. Penguins always look like such adorable little entertaining dancing things like the Happy Feet, but what a great point that they eat fish and I bet they could do with a bottle of mouth wash. Love the signs, Susan.

  17. A splatter zone!! I'd like to hang that up in several places! Like the gallery in the Statehouse! :)

  18. I think our brains think alike on this stuff. I love a good stupid sign. :D

  19. Reminds me of the signs that used to be posted on the perimeter fence around Lion Country Safari in Orange County California "Trespassers Will Be Eaten."

  20. Dianne- Almost is the operative word. Almost spit your coffee. (I'm so glad I didn't cause you to waste it.)

Sarah- Happy to brighten your morning, dear lady.

Anna- That's one of my favorites, too.

Skippy- At least you had to good sense to walk away! (Not that I'm at all surprised.)

Chris- Glad you liked 'em, and you're absolutely right about putting the splatter zone sign wherever politicians may gather.

Mr. C- MOST of you made it? (Did YOU? (I'm blonde.)

Pearl- Yeah, even worse than being sneezed on by a camel. (Happened to one of our sons.)

Linda- Of course. Just for you.

Cro- Kinda makes you wonder about the intelligence of the public, doesn't it?

Arleen- Yeah, I've gotten that kind of splatter before, too, but I think I'd prefer that over what that hippo might be splattering.

Manzie- You're right; they could probably benefit from a little shot of Listerine.

Austan- You've got that right. Why not on Capitol Hill?

L.G.- No stupid sign is too stupid for me. Always good for a chuckle.

Ron- HA! That'll teach 'em! Glad you were able to get in to comment this time.

  21. Splatter zone! Ha!
And the cat one is adorable. I had to look twice before seeing it was two cats. Aww.

  22. Not sure which one is my favourite... LOL!

Okay, well now I really have to check in for your Monday's post. *parp* :D

  23. Animal lover here. I love these! The penguin one and the bow wow ruff woof one are my favorite!

  24. That was awesome! I hope to never feed animals any of my digits.

I have witnessed such a splatter zone at the zoo. It ain't pretty!

    ReplyDelete
  25. The unfenced and cassowary signs are of course from Oz.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Emily- The picture of those cats would've made a neat shot for Valentine's Day, too, huh?

Carrie- HA! After Monday, you may be my only follower ...

Shelley- Glad ya liked them, and thanks for stopping by.

Jay- Glad you liked them, but as for the splatter, far better to see it than to feel it.

Al- I kinda thought they might be. (And how totally cool to live in a place called OZ!)

    Y'all take care.

  27. I LOVE THESE! I copied most of them. Thank you for making my day. I love the don't feed fingers one especially :-)

  30. Great signs! That mountain lion one was, gulp, scary. Prefer the No Splatter zone.

  31. Margo- Great! Always happy to brighten someone's day. I'll look forward to seeing some of these signs in one of your future posts.

Lee- Yeah, that one was a little bizarre, wasn't it?

Sarah- Um, maybe to visit; I wouldn't want to LIVE there!

Kittie- I like that splatter one, too.

N- Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.

  32. That was great fun Susan. A lovely smile for the day. Thank you.

  33. Hi, Ann. Glad to give you a smile, dear lady. Take care.

  34. Fabulous! Hubby and I had a great chuckle over those. The first is also adorable!

  35. Tomorrow there will be an award post on my blog, be sure to drop by as you are the recipient.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Madeleine- I'm glad you and your hubby found something here to make you chuckle. And thanks for the heads up on the award. I'll be sure to check your post. (If I remember!)

  37. Great signs! Though the mountain lion one is accurate, as funny as it sounds, and the Australian animal crossing one is, too. Though I daresay my hubby never mentioned an emu/ostrich(?), he did have kangaroos and camels cross the road in front of him. I had no idea before that camels were a part of the landscape in Oz! That splatter one is fabulous, as are all the goofy ones at zoos/wildlife parks. Gotta' love a sense of humor in your signage.

  38. Shannon- Glad you liked 'em. I never associated camels with Australia before, either. Then again, I only discovered less than a year ago that a bunch of them live in Arizona, too. Those guys get around. (And they don't even have a trunk!)Take care.

    cheers Hilary

  40. Hi, Hilary. Oh yeah, hippo spray is much funnier as an observer than as a recipient. Take care.

  41. How do you get passed airport security in the Beauty and The Geek Jeans? Thanks for another fun-filled tour! Julie

  42. Hey, Julie. I think any guy who'd actually consider wearing those pants would never venture far enough away from his computer to have to worry about airport security!

  43. Oh my gosh - I love this kitty picture!! We have kitties that look just like this!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see me and also for saying such nice things about my blog - your comment this morning totally made my day. Bless you!
